As everyone knows, for almost six decades the Chapala Ribera has become a favorite place for foreigners seeking to live in Mexico, especially for those of retirement age. It was based on this growth that, in the early nineties, I was invited by American, Canadian and Mexican investors to participate in some real estate developments, starting with the subdivision known as Las Fuentes in the municipality of Jocotepec, and later and in a similar way, continuing with the projects in Monte Coxala and Chula Vista Norte in San Antonio Tlayacapan which are known to all of you.
It was here in Chula Vista Norte where I was lucky to meet one of the most talented and productive developers and professionals in this area. Now, after more than 30 years, I have strengthened and maintained a frank and respectful friendship. I am referring to the architect Pedro Arellano Arroyo, a friend in whom I have found a special and unique relationship, one of those that can be counted on one hand. I have used his advice and experience in two other projects over the past two decades.
It is that long and respectful friendship that today brings us together again starting a new housing development of 26 residences called Lago Montaña, located in the municipality of Jocotepec, certain that success is guaranteed. Pedro is the type of person in whose company one forgets about time, and even better, he is one of the people who helps us recover lost time.
